About the Fellowship

This fellowship will meet at different times for fellowship, instruction, and encouragement in the areas of taking the scriptures [text] and moving them into preaching [sermonizing]. The art and science of preaching will be the emphasis of those fellows who share common interest in preaching.

It is to be understood that when accepting preaching assignments, some may be without renumeration but that all renumeration is to be kept by each preacher.

II Timothy 4:1–2

“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the Word; be instant in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

Biblical Proclamation (2 Timothy 4:1–2)

Outline from Dr. Doug Mac

This is our message. Paul shares three significant insights regarding a Biblical proclamation.

  1. The Challenge of Biblical Preaching — “I charge thee” (v.1)
    1. A sovereign audience — “before God and the Lord Jesus Christ”
    2. A sobering appointment — “who shall judge the quick and the dead”
    3. A sure appearance — “at his appearing and kingdom”
  2. The Content of Biblical Preaching — “Preach the Word” (v.2)
  3. The Character of Biblical Preaching (v.2)
    1. A critical proclamation — “be instant in season, out of season”
    2. A careful proclamation — “reprove, rebuke, exhort”
    3. A charitable proclamation — “with all longsuffering”
    4. A cerebral proclamation — “with all doctrine”
